LabOne Programming Manual

In addition to the LabOne User Interface Zurich Instruments lock-in amplifiers can be controlled simultaneously via any of the available LabOne APIs: LabVIEW, Matlab, Python or C. Zurich Instruments software release 14.02 includes the LabOne Programming Manual which guides users to an appropriate choice of API and helps them get started writing custom programs with the APIs for automated measurements.

There’s a lot of new information provided in the Programming Manual including:

  • Getting started chapters for the LabVIEW, Python and Matlab APIs.
  • Help finding and running the examples that are bundled with each of the APIs.
  • Detailed descriptions of  the API “modules” that provide high-level measurement functionality such as frequency sweeping or performing FFTs on demodulator data (see the figure below for an example).
  • Reference documentation for each of the APIs.

The Programming Manual is available for download (pdf) and from within a  LabOne installation on Windows via the Start Menu (Programs → Zurich Instruments → Documentation → LabOne Programming Manual) or on Linux under the “Documentation” subfolder of the LabOne installation directory.
